MOBILE, Alabama – District Attorney Keith Blackwood announces that a Mobile County jury has found Jeffery Holley guilty of Murder and Robbery in the First Degree.
The convictions follow a violent incident on February 15, 2023, when Jeffery Holley robbed Alan “Bama” Williams of his firearm. Holley then shot Williams in the head. Williams succumbed to his injuries a few days later. Holley fled the scene with the firearm which was later discovered at a residence where he was apprehended.
Following this week’s trial and approximately one hour and forty minutes of deliberations, the jury returned guilty verdicts on all counts, convicting Jeffery Holley of the Murder of Alan Williams and Robbery in the First Degree.
“Robbing a man and then killing him over something you want is as senseless as it gets,” said District Attorney Keith Blackwood. “The jury’s verdict makes it clear that this kind of violence will be met with justice.”
The State of Alabama was represented by Assistant District Attorney Eric Van Loock, Trial Coordinator Stacia Rogers and Victim Service Officer Reagan Frost.
Sentencing for Jeffery Holley is scheduled for March 23, 2026.
