MOBILE, Alabama – A Mobile County jury has found Jesse McClure guilty of Capital Murder of Two or More Persons, Capital Murder/Burglary, Attempted Murder, and Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, District Attorney Keith Blackwood announced today.
On the morning of January 3, 2021, Jesse McClure forced his way into the home of Shane Delaney, where he opened fire, killing Delaney and George Snyder. He also shot and injured Kerry Mahoney and fatally shot her dog.
The trial began September 9, 2025. After deliberating for less than two hours, a Mobile County Jury today found Jesse McClure guilty of all counts in the indictment.
District Attorney Keith Blackwood stated:
“Today’s conviction delivers justice for the lives Jesse McClure stole and the devastation he caused. Violence of this magnitude has no place in our community, and today the jury made that clear. Our thoughts remain with the victims’ families and Ms. Mahoney, and we will continue to stand with them as justice is served.”
The State of Alabama was represented by District Attorney Keith Blackwood, Assistant District Attorney Madison Davis, Trial Coordinator Amanda Sumrall and Victim Service Officer Reagan Frost.
Sentencing for the two Capital Murder convictions will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday September 30, 2025.
