Slade Harbison II Guilty of Multiple Counts of Sexual Abuse

MOBILE, Alabama – A Mobile County jury has found Slade Harbison II guilty of multiple counts of sexual abuse, announced District Attorney Keith Blackwood

Evidence presented at trial showed the defendant groomed the victim from early childhood and used manipulation and isolation to continue the abuse. The case came to light after the victim courageously reported the abuse to a school counselor.   

Following the conclusion of this week’s trial, the jury returned guilty verdicts, finding Slade Harbison guilty of Sex Abuse of a Child under 12, Rape 2nd and Sodomy 1st  

District Attorney Keith Blackwood stated:  

“It takes incredible strength for a child to speak up against someone they trusted, and this victim’s bravery ensured justice could be done. People who prey on children destroy lives and families, and this office will aggressively prosecute anyone who commits these horrific crimes,” said Blackwood.

The State of Alabama was represented by the Child Victim Prosecution Team at the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, Assistant District Attorney Theresa Harris and Trial Coordinator Jillian Williams.

Sentencing for Slade Harbison II will be March 23, 2026.
