MOBILE COUNTY DA TASK FORCE EXECUTES ARREST WARRANT ON IRVINGTON MAN

MOBILE, Alabama –   A Task Force of the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office has executed an arrest warrant on Kody Wilcox for the charge of Assault 1st/DUI and Escape 3rd.

A December 2023 Mobile County Grand Jury indicted Kody Wilcox for Assault 1st citing he did, while driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance or any combination thereof, cause serious bodily injury to David Bouvier, with a motor vehicle.  That same December 2023 Mobile County Grand Jury also indicted Wilcox for Escape 3rd citing he did escape or attempt to escape from the custody of a Mobile Police Officer after a lawful arrest.

“Our office is committed to protecting the citizens of Mobile County and seeking justice for our victims and their families by prosecuting those who commit crimes,” says Keith Blackwood, Mobile County District Attorney.

Wilcox was given a $10,000 bond for the Assault 1st/ DUI charge and $1,000 bond for the Escape 3rd charge.

The DA Task Force is in collaboration with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Mobile Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals. The task force expedites arrests on defendants who have been secretly indicted, beginning their prosecution in court much sooner than before.
