Murder Suspect Held on No Bond Under Aniah’s Law

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 28, 2023

MOBILE, Alabama – The Mobile County District Attorney’s Office announces the hold of Lacedrick Davis under Aniah’s Law.

Earlier this week, the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion to hold Lacedrick Davis under Aniah’s Law for his alleged involvement in the murder of Cedric Lynch earlier this year. At the Aniah’s Law hearing this morning, Judge Cheriogotis granted the motion, keeping Davis in jail until his trial.

“We are seeing Aniah’s Law work the way it was intended to work,” says Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood. “Defendants who are the most dangerous and serve as a threat to our citizens are being held without bond keeping our community as safe as possible.”

Davis is the fifth to be held on no bond under Aniah’s Law since the November 2022 election.
