Theodore Man Convicted of Rape and Sodomy

MOBILE, Alabama – The Mobile County District Attorney’s Office announces the conviction of Cody Lee Bush on all 15 counts.

On February 16, 2023, a jury found defendant Cody Lee Bush GULTY of:

  • Eight counts of possession of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons, under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts
  • Five counts of dissemination of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons, under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts
  • Rape in the first degree of a child under 7
  • Sodomy in the first degree of a child under 7

Assistant District Attorney Theresa Harris represented the State, presenting the Defendant’s truly despicable acts to the jury, proving his overwhelming guilt. “What we presented in court was hard to see and hard to hear. We are thankful the jury saw the truth,” says District Attorney Keith Blackwood.

Cody Lee Bush will be sentenced March 20th at 9 am with the only possible sentencing option of Life Without Parole.
