MOBILE, Alabama –A Mobile County jury found Ronald Lee Everitte guilty of 2 counts of Production of Obscene Material of a child ≤ 17 years of age and 1 count of Possession of Obscene Material of a Child ≤17 Years of Age last week.

On March 25, 2021, Bayou La Batre Police Officers executed a search warrant of the defendant’s residence where his cell phone was seized. Upon examination of the device, Forensic Annalists with the Department of Homeland Security discovered several photographs of underage children.

The State was represented by the Child Victim Prosecution Team at the DA’s Office. It took members of the jury just one hour to return a verdict of guilty on all three charges.

“As always, we are thankful for the service of our jury members,” says Keith Blackwood, Mobile County District Attorney. “They certainly got it right on this one and our community, especially our children, are safer because of it.”

Everitte is facing a minimum sentence of 40 years in the Department of Corrections. He is scheduled to be sentenced by a Mobile County Circuit Court Judge on March 25, 2024 at 9 AM
