MOBILE, Alabama – Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood announced today that Quicheay Williams has been convicted for a 2025 attack on Jasmine Clausell.
Evidence presented at trial showed that in February 2025, Jasmine Clausell allowed Quicheay Williams, a friend who needed a place to stay, to live in her home. After approximately two weeks, Clausell asked Williams to leave. Williams became angry and, before leaving, threw a chemical substance onto Clausell, causing third–degree burns from head to toe.
“Jasmine Clausell opened her home to someone she considered a friend, and that kindness was met with a serious act of violence,” said District Attorney Keith Blackwood. “We are grateful to the jury for their careful consideration of the evidence and for holding the defendant accountable.”
The State was represented by Assistant District Attorney Richard Taylor Jr. and Trial Coordinator Carla Neely.
Quicheay Williams is scheduled to be sentenced on October 14, 2026.
